Marine fan with a watertight motor. IP55 rated against dust and spray. Includes 6' 24V lighter plug. Made in Canada.
The Kona fan was built to withstand the most demanding marine environments. A watertight three-speed motor, aluminum construction, UV-stabilized plastic, and stainless fasteners ensure
long service life. The Kona pivots to pinpoint airflow and is ideal for use in the wheelhouse, exposed bridge, cockpit, or on the dash.
Available in 12V or 24V options.
Built for demanding marine use.
Provides cockpit air circulation in severe conditions.
Leave it outdoors worry-free in harsh, wet conditions.
Ultra-low current draw won't drain batteries.
2-Year warranty and outstanding customer support.

Our marine fans are low-voltage fans that do not plug into the grid; therefore, they do not require CSA or UL certifications.
The part that you are referring to is a ferrite bead. The ferrite bead is required to meet Electromagnetic immunity and emission compliance requirements by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and must not be removed. Without this ferrite bead, other electronic devices near the fan may experience electromagnetic interference when operating. This will vary with the specific equipment and proximity to the fan. You can cut the heat shrink tubing off to eliminate some of the bulk surrounding the ferrite. Arrange the wires so that two are on the side and one is on the opposite side. This will allow it to lay flatter.
The body of each fan is made from plastic. Depending on the fan, the plastic used may be FR ABS or ASA. The blades are made of polyethylene.
No. Our fans are not 'ignition proof' certified or tested. In an engine room, there is always the risk of having fuel and hydrocarbon fumes. For this reason, we do not recommend our fans be used in this environment. Our fans use a brushed motor, with an expected brush life of 5000 to 7500 hours. Operating the fans 24-hours will wear the brushes in a shorter time frame than the normally expected duty cycle.
Yes! The 747/757 Ultimate Fans, 817 Kona or 7482 Maestro Fan would be suitable.
The plastic components of the fan are made of ASA Plastic.
Acrylic-Styrene-acrylonitrile (ASA) polymers are amorphous plastics with mechanical properties similar to ABS resins. However, the ASA properties are far less affected by outdoor weathering. ASA is a terpolymer that can be produced by either a patented, proprietary reaction process or by a grafting process.
The current draw for the Kona fan is as follows;
12V: 0.21, 0.26 and 0.37 amps (3 speed)
24V: 0.11 to 0.18 amps (Variable speed)
The Kona is equipped with a 6-foot power cord with lighter plug connection.
The dimensions of the Kona fan are approximately 7" W x 7.5" L x 9.5" H (177 mm x 190.5 mm x 241 mm).
Caframo 12V model fans will operate within a range of 9-15V. Our 24V model fans will operate within a range of 18-30V.
Please note:
- In most cases, the fan may operate slower in a low-voltage situation.
- Operation above 14V for our 12V models and 28V for 24V models is not recommended for continuous use. Operating at these levels with elevated temperatures (>30⁰C / 86⁰F ) may cause damage to the product.
